Numerous questions of detail: many questions have to be answered around small details - for example: how can a driver heat/cool their car before they disconnect it from the power socket? How can more "valuable" power be kept in the battery for locomotion? What new parking space management (parking & "refuel" power) implemented by the communities makes an intelligent charging station infrastructure necessary?

Interoperability: A special challenge is the interoperability. The customer,  irrespective of their contractual relationship, should be able to "refuel" at any charging station. In order to do so, corresponding standards are required (for the plug, the charging technology, and the related data exchange) which have to be considered both in the identification of the driver and in the payment.

Cirquent currently has one of the most innovative overall solutions for an intelligent charging infrastructure. The research project BALLADE in Austria has led to a complete solution that meets all requirements for e-mobility, from the charging station to the payment, to the customer and charging station administration.

High Usability: Thanks to the easiest "JUST PLUG" authorisation, the customer has several possibilities to start the charging process at a charging station - with JUST PLUG Chip, RFID card, SMS, a call to the customer services or via QR code.

Convenient charging station administration: The charging station administration provides the option to create clusters and allocate them to various charging algorithms. The benefit: You as the operator can control the maximum demand of supply of the charging stations.

Easy overall administration: In the central JustPlugAdministrationCenter (JPAC), all customer data and charging stations are managed. Moreover, all settlement and authentication mechanisms are illustrated there. Customer self-service, partner web, point of sales, but also apps for the mobile devices are connected to the JPAC. All these modules access the same database.
